Our Story

DanceWest has been offering competitive and recreational dance training to children between the ages of 3-18 since 1979. Located on the Surrey/North Delta border we are one of just a few studios available to the children of both Surrey and North Delta. Our talented list of teacher/choreographers includes some of the best in the industry. Their passion for dance and teaching can be seen in the excellent technique the DanceWest students develop and their amazing on-stage performances.

We offer classes in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern/Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Acro, Stage and Hip Hop/Break Dance classes for Boys. Our amazing Leap n Learn Progam for 3-4 year old preschoolers is a place for young feet to begin finding their rhythm and love of dance. For those adults looking for some fun or recreation we also offer adult dance classes.

Programs We Offer

Our Dance Studio offers a large variety of dance classes for all skill levels. Our experienced instructors are passionate about helping each dancer achieve their highest potential, while also having as much fun as possible. Recreational Dance

This is where the journey begins! Our recreational program is geared toward beginners and kids who want to dance for fun and fitness. Students can choose from jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, stage, or acrobatics, so there’s always something for everyone. Open to kids as young as 3 years old, our recreational classes are a great way to learn to dance in a fun, high-energy, and positive environment.

Competitive Program

This program offers intense conditioning, technical training, first class choreography and personal attention. Students gain the technique they need through concentrated training in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Technique and more…
Although the focus is on giving students the ability to pursue dance as a profession, the skills learned in this program have proven to be valuable life lessons that continue to benefit the students in all career choices. Self-discipline, self-expression, responsibility, and time management are only some of the qualities that our students are guaranteed to acquire.
Children, ranging from ages 6-19, are placed in one of our levels which are built on ability, technique, personality and above all potential.
